Mineta San José International Airport is an important contributor to the economy of Silicon Valley. The Airport is also a neighbor to many San José and Santa Clara residents. The Airport Neighborhood Services Group (ANSG) was formed in 2001, as part of the Airport’s commitment to be a responsible operator and a good neighbor.

ANSG’s purpose is to keep the community informed of Airport developments, to make sure all community concerns and interests are heard, and to advocate on behalf of the community to expedite timely response to all concerns.

ANSG provides a variety of community programs to interested groups.

Community Input
ANSG gathers community input on Airport issues affecting the community and facilitates meetings between communities and appropriate Airport program management.

Speakers Bureau
ANSG provides speakers and Airport-related presentations for corporations, businesses, neighborhood associations, chambers of commerce, business and service organizations or other interested community groups.

Community and Civic Events
ANSG is available to represent the Airport by participating in community events, festivals, committees, workshops and resource fairs.

Educational Services
ANSG can arrange self-guided tours of the Airport for educational groups. ANSG is also available to participate in classrooms with presentations on aviation careers.

Noise Abatement and Environmental Services
As part of the Airport’s commitment to be a responsible operator and good neighbor, ANSG continually seeks ways to improve the environment in and around the Airport.

Strategic Partnerships
ANSG partners with San José Environmental Services Department and Bay Area Air Quality Management District to continually seek ways to improve the environment and air quality.
